From Young’s forthcoming album, Living With War, comes the stunningly clever Let’s Impeach the President:
Let’s impeach the president for lying
Misleading our country into war
Abusing all the power that we gave him
And shipping all our money out the door
Now I know the liberals are wetting their pink panties over the incredible strength and courage of his message. But this stooge’s album deserves even less attention than whether or not Tom Cruise will really stay with Katie (will he?!?).
Mr. Young, your first mistake is your use of the inclusive pronouns “we”, “us” (in Let’s), and “our”. These imply that our president is somehow your president. Given that you’re a non-American celebrity a-hole - that you care about this country so deeply yet haven’t even take the time to become a citizen therein - I say, “Piss off.” You may physically live in this country, but you’re no part of “us”. You’re not an American. You have no say in our electoral or political process and your opinion is therefore about as relevant as your ailing career.
You’ve had a great ride, Mr. Young. We’ve enjoyed your music. Now, don’t go away mad. Just go away.
