BREITBART.COM - Moussaoui Gets Life for Role in Sept. 11

I can’t muster the words to describe my disgust. Has the Oprah-fication of the U.S. reached a point-of-no-return? This sentencing essentially eliminates the death penalty as we know it. Anyone - anyone - with even the remotest involvement in the 9/11 attack should be hung by his balls and set ablaze on pay-per-view. If the only person ever tried and convicted in the 9/11 attack isn’t executed, then why in the name of god do we even have a death penalty?

Wingnuts all over the media last night were chanting victory for the U.S. - apparently this shows the world that we’re not going to stand for terrorism on our soil. We’ve taken the “hard line”, they say. We refused to give him what he wants and that’s the greatest punishment of all.

That’s twaddle. Since when do the wishes of a mass-murdering, fundamentalist troll mean anything? It’s about what we want, what makes us safer. This is a travesty of the most horrific kind.

Moussaoui, as he was led from the courtroom after the 15-minute hearing, said: “America, you lost. … I won.” He clapped his hands as he was escorted away.

He’s right. Good god, he’s right.
