George Bush’s Last Day Sticker

If you have one of these stickers on your car, I’m sorry. I truly feel sorry for how blatantly stupid you’re proving to the world that you are. You’re only underscoring what thinking people have known to be true for quite some time: liberal Democrats have no ideas. They define themselves simply by being “not the other guy”. Not George Bush.

And your wholesale purchase of this mindset automatically disqualifies you from any rational political discussion. This bumper sticker lets you feel comfortable by curling up into a little ball and tuning out from any real political ideas. It helps you delude yourself into thinking that all of the world’s ills will magically be healed once George Bush is out of office.

It’s not a valid idea. It’s not a platform or paradigm to which smart people subscribe.

I’m voting republican in the next presidential election and now I want one of those stickers. After hearing your opinions of Bush and the Iraq war, I’m surprised you don’t have one. It has nothing to do with the things you mentioned above, it will be a chance for the republican party to begin to regain the trust of their constituents after spending the last eight years wasting money, bungling a war, appeasing the illegal immigrant lobby, making the government bigger, and all of the other things we usually expect of democrats.

It’s interesting how the Democrat frontrunners are split not because of the issues or ideas but because of who’s better at pandering to identity politics and how their base ‘feels’ about them. Meanwhile the Republicans have been beating themselves up over precisely the former, issues and ideas, that is really the meat of this campaign.

So most of the libs don’t really put any thought into 1-20-09, only that they’ll ‘feel’ better when Bush is gone.

With regard to showing a political bent via bumper stickers, when Bush #1 was our man, I attended an event at my child’s public school and had the gall to display a Bush sticker on the rear window of my Volvo. When the event was over and I came back to my car, someone had used a jagged piece of glass from a broken bottle to scrape the sticker off leaving me without a sticker and with a back window scratched beyond repair.

Even then, the loons on the left were suffering from BDS. And even then they still didn’t know why.

you are completely wrong - this sticker expresses the fundamental point and event of a self-governing society - ie it is time to start again. Missing this point is very telling. Real patriots approach every US political issue by asking - among other things - how does this issue effect legal liberty, legal equality and our ability to self-rule? You are not asking those questions - and it is a flaw in your US political thought.

I agree fully with your opinion. I find it so ironic that 95% of all anti American President stickers are found on Un-American cars. It’s as if there is some law that prohibits liberals from buying American. If you start a discussion with one and let them speak. They will admit that everything American is no good.
